March 26th, 2009

What a time I have had! I checked into Children's Hospital last Wednesday to get my fistula fixed. But it turns out there wasn't a fistula after all! So my surgeon Dr. Partrick (hands down the best pediatric surgeon around) decided to give me a G-tube instead. This is because I am aspirating liquid when I drink from the bottle and I am not gaining weight very quickly. So I got my G tube Friday night at 10pm and I was out of surgery and into recovery by 1:30am! We got to leave the hospital on Tuesday, so I am home now and doing great! Its an adjustment for all of us, but now I sleep through the night because I get a slow drip all night long! So mommy and daddy are happy about that! So we are all excited to see how quickly I gain weight and finally get out of my newborn diapers!!! We will keep everyone up to date as time goes by! xoxo

Cousins Zac, Summer and Kingsley -- hi and happy Easter from your Oklahoma cousins. You are really a cutie! Your cousin Mary had a problem keeping milk in her stomach and had surgery to repair the problem when she was about a week old. She went from skinny to puggy in no time and I am sure you will too.

Have a wonderful and happy first Easter! Don't let the bunny rabbits nip on your toes.

Love and prayers to you all, Caral

Zac give your Mom a hug for me!

New little babies gifts from above
sent to you with so much love!
Swaddle them close Wrap 'em up tight
they feel secure never out of your sight!
Strong and brave that's how they grow
knowing your love will always show!
The parallel here is for you and me
to stop and realize what we see!
All of us are babies sent from above
we are wrapped in the blanket
we know as God's Love!
